Toys serve as a lot more than just entertainment. Children develop emotional systems, learn object permanence and develop their motor skills by playing with toys. Every age comes with its own stages of development, which you can support by providing the right kind of toys. But which toys go best with which age? We have lined up the toys per age group using our products as an example!

Toys for children age 0-1

Newborn baby’s sleep a lot in the first few months. They also don’t have the capability to take hold of something yet, so moving objects that make sound are especially interesting. Take for example music boxes. The sound is a constant source of entertainment! When they are about half a year old they will try to grab things. Rattles are therefore a good choice for that age stage.

Toys for children age 1-4

When your child is about a year old he or she will start to discover do things individually. They find great pleasure in copycatting your actions or to help. Children’s cutlery is therefore a good gift because they can learn while playing. You can start off easy by still hand feeding your child with the cutlery, and eventually letting him or her take over.

At this age your child has already developed quite a lot of skills. They’ve become a toddler! From now on, educational toys are very beneficial for further development. For example, a nice money box!
